Insights-Employment & Work-life Outlook 2022

27 Feb, 2022

We recently concluded our GCC-wide employee and managers survey aimed at understanding how employment, employee rewards, and aspects of work-life have been impacted by Covid-19 and the workforce outlook for 2022.

The survey brought out many interesting insights.  Of these, the following four workplace themes are of particular significance to the business and people leaders in the region:

>     While Work-From-Home (WFH) has taken good roots in the UAE, thanks to the pandemic created necessity to do so, as of the end of January 2022, almost half of the respondent organizations have gone back completely to pre-pandemic ways of working with no availability of WFH.

>    Most white-collar respondent managers believe WFH arrangement does not reduce productivity and it has also led to a better work-life balance for the employees.

>    1/3rd of the white-collar respondents indicated ‘dissatisfaction’ with their current employment situation.

>     Of the five elements of Total Rewards, Development and Recognition are the two elements with the greatest scope of improvement in the UAE.

Our article around these insights was recently published by WorldatWork in their online magazine WorkSpan. You can read it here.
